Former Italy international Mario Balotelli has revealed that he has rejected contract offers from clubs abroad as he is holding out for a dream return to Serie A.

The former Inter, Manchester City and Milan striker spoke to DAZN in a feature interview released on Friday.

Balotelli conducted his interview from his home in Italy, where he is staying for the time being as he hopes to secure a move to an Italian club rather than one in a foreign league.

“What I would like, definitely, is to return to Serie A, and that’s why I’m still at home because I’ve had enough offers from abroad, but I’ve slowed that down a bit because I still have hope,” Balotelli told DAZN.

“Of course if no Serie A offers arrive, I’ll make other choices.”
