There are reports that Inter have rejected a proposal from Liverpool to include Mario Balotelli as part of a deal for Mateo Kovacic.
The Anfield side have been heavily linked with the Nerazzurri’s Croatian midfielder and are believed to be looking to get rid of Balotelli after a disappointing season for the striker.
Corriere dello Sport reports that Liverpool suggested using the forward as leverage, but Inter rejected the idea as they need cash and Coach Roberto Mancini would prefer a winger to a centre forward.

The newspaper believes that Inter President Erick Thohir values Kovacic at €30m and that the Reds’ offer of €22.6 plus €2m of bonuses is therefore too low.
The report says that Kovacic is destined for Anfield, as the San Siro outfit must sell him in order to collect the funds to sign targets Geoffrey Kondogbia or Giannelli Imbula.
This is due to Financial Fair Play restrictions which only permit the club to register new signings whose fees have been covered by player sales.
