Mario Balotelli confirms “I love the national team and would run back” but doesn’t know if interim Italy CT Luigi Di Biagio will call him up.

The Nice striker hasn’t been capped since the 2014 World Cup, and was called just once by Antonio Conte and not at all by Giampiero Ventura.

“I don’t know anything, but if I’m called I love the national team and would run back, but like I said I don’t know anything,” Balotelli told Tiki Taka.

“I think the only two CTs who haven’t called me for the national team were Conte – who was right because I wasn’t playing well – and Ventura who did it for reasons I still don’t understand.”

Balotelli is out of contract at the end of the season, and was asked where he’ll be plying his trade next year.

“I’ll come to work for the editorial staff of Tiki Taka!

“Differences between Ligue 1 and Serie A? Serie A is more tactical, the French league is more physical.

“I’ve found serenity at home with one person. The secret is my house, then in recent years I’ve had some physical problems which I don’t have anymore.

“That’s made my performances better, but my serenity is at home and not at work.”
