The former Liverpool and Manchester City striker joined Serie B side Monza in December, but was forced to miss this evening’s clash against his former club due to a muscle injury.

He wasn’t well greeted by his ex fans who unveiled a banner outside the stadium.

“There are other players who loved this city, you are worth nothing for us, you are a man without dignity,” the banner reads.

According to Il Corriere della Sera, Balotelli was even denied a parking spot inside the stadium and had to park his vehicle in the nearby before joining Monza’s CEO Adriano Galliani in the stands of the Rigamonti stadium to watch the game.
