Mario Balotelli could make a return to Italy for Serie B side Palermo, although Corinthians and San Diego FC in MLS are also options.

The Italy international is currently a free agent after his contract with Turkish side Adana Demirspor was allowed to run down.

He has been trying to keep himself in shape, regularly posting clips of himself in training or at the gym on his social media accounts.

Palermo possibility for Balotelli

According to La Stampa newspaper, Balotelli has been approached by Serie B side Palermo to see if he would be open to signing for them.

The striker was born in the Sicilian city to Ghanaian parents, before he was adopted by a family in Brescia at the age of 2.

There are other alternatives open to the 34-year-old too, for instance there were negotiations with Brazilian side Corinthians, while San Diego FC are interested and will be in Major League Soccer from 2025.

Super Mario is well-travelled, playing for the likes of Inter, Manchester City, Liverpool, Milan, OGC Nice, Olympique Marseille, Brescia, Monza, Adana Demirspor and FC Sion.
