Adana Demirspor President Murat Sancak revealed ‘we have almost reached an agreement’ with Mario Balotelli. ‘He wants to be successful with us to go to the World Cup in Qatar’.

Balotelli is a free agent this summer, as he left Serie B side Monza after his six-month contract expired.

He has been linked with a move to Adana Demirspor, who are newly promoted to the Super Lig in Turkey.

The confirmation of a potential move comes from the Turkish club’s President, who said Balotelli wants to join them.

“With Balotelli we have almost reached an agreement,” Sancak told A Spor. “Let’s say we are at 85 per cent.

“Mario told us he wants to join us, he will come to Turkey next week. If we find an agreement, then he will wear our shirt. He wants to be successful with us to go to the World Cup in Qatar.”

Balotelli returned to Italy in July 2020, when he signed with Brescia, but couldn’t help Massimo Cellino’s team to safety in Serie A.

He then terminated his deal with the Rondinelle and was without a club for six months before joining Monza.
