Balotelli was on the scoresheet in the 1-1 draw against Parma, and became the first Brescia player to score from open play at the Stadio Tardini since Roberto Baggio in March 2004.

Balotelli was on the scoresheet in the 1-1 draw against Parma, and became the first Brescia player to score from open play at the Stadio Tardini since Roberto Baggio in March 2004.
“I felt good here right away, we won’t be Juventus, but the quality is not lacking. By staying united, the results will come," SuperMario told Sky Sport Italia.
“I thought we would be a little higher in the league, but it isn’t a problem. We will secure safety before the end of the season."
Balotelli was asked what his Christmas wishes are going into the winter break.
“For Christmas I ask for good health for me and my family. I want to remain at Brescia, unless the President doesn’t want me anymore.
“I have all the intention to stay. I am at home. I need a year that’s a little calmer. I want to score a lot of goals, I was also unfortunate this year, between hitting posts and wasted chances.”
Fabio Grosso was coach of the Rondinelle for only three games, and sent Balotelli home during a training session.
“Personally I didn’t expect Eugenio Corini to be sacked, but it’s a decision of the President and it must be respected. Grosso told me I wasn’t putting in enough intensity in training. He told me to stop and to leave.
“Now however I am training better than when I was younger. I’m not at 100%, but maybe only Cristiano Ronaldo gets there.”
Balotelli was racially abused in Verona, but assures it was an isolated incident upon his return to Serie A.
“After the events in Verona, I haven’t encountered a similar situation. I have to say however, that I have nothing against the city of Verona. A few idiots making noises, the rest of the public were fine.”
This weekend, police confirmed they had identified one of the people responsible for the racist chants, a Sicilian fan who was only visiting in Verona and attended the game.
Balotelli then revealed he got advice from the legendary Italian forward Gigi Riva, who this week was made honorary President of Cagliari.
“I have a great relationship with Riva, he gave me advice on how to strike the ball and he was close to me. For me he was the greatest Italian striker.”
