Liverpool’s Mario Balotelli says he ‘always hoped to return to Milan’ ahead of completing a loan move to the Rossoneri.

The striker only left the San Siro outfit last summer, but told MilanNews.it that he is in good shape and ‘always had Milan in my heart’.

“I'm happy to be back, now I’m only waiting to start training,” he said after completing the first stage of his medical today.

“Physically I feel pretty good, I just have to train with the team. I have so much motivation.
