New Milan signing Fodé Ballo-Touré reveals what Stefano Pioli told him when he signed with the Rossoneri and says is happy to reunite with Mike Maignan: ‘He is like a brother to me.’

The 23-year-old has joined the Rossoneri on a €4.5m deal from Monaco. Maignan moved to Milan from Lille to replace Gigio Donnarumma.

“I am very happy to be here. At first, there was a contact between Paolo Maldini and my agent, I could not believe it until I arrived in Milan,” the left-back said at a press conference.

“Milan are a top club, I could not lose this opportunity, I will work a lot, I am here to improve. I am happy that Maldini trusted me, he is a point of reference for me.

“The first few days went well. I was well-received, I already knew Rafael Leao, but everyone welcomed me well,” he continued.

“I am slowly learning the language. Pioli told me what he expects from me and that I can count on him for anything I need.

“I must score more goals, I will try to improve and score more goals as Theo does. I am here to develop, I can improve technically and tactically.

“I am happy to meet Mike Maignan again, we spent a few seasons together at Lille and PSG. He is like a brother to me.”
