Palermo Coach Davide Ballardini believes Juventus “have everything to compete for the Scudetto and the Champions League”.
The Rosanero welcome the champions to Sicily this weekend, with the Old Lady currently trailing leaders Inter by nine points.
“I’m not surprised by Juventus’ recent play,” Ballardini insisted in an interview with Tuttosport.
“They’re the most advanced club in Serie A, the only one who can compete with the European superpowers. They’re the locomotive of Italian football.

“They have a great structure, as shown by their skill in choosing their players. Their signings are a mix of technical quality, the right mentality and the desire to emerge.
“Alex Sandro? I followed him at Porto, I’ve always liked him because he reflects my ideas about football: technical ability, freedom, quality and strength.
“No wonder he’s exploded, but Juve have a lot of champions. [Paulo] Dybala, [Alvaro] Morata, [Gigi] Buffon, [Paul] Pogba.
“They have everything to compete for the Scudetto and the Champions League.”
Ballardini also discussed his job at Palermo, working with notoriously volatile President Maurizio Zamparini.
“He’s present, active. He’s the same as he was six years ago.
“Do I choose the players he wants? If that were true, Zamparini should sack me right away. I don’t think he’d want a Coach who does exactly what he says.
“I like to discuss with the President, but then, as it should be, it’s the Coach who has the responsibility to choose and decide.
“Zamparini knows me, I’m a stubborn Romagnolo.”
