Genoa coach Davide Ballardini was ‘happy’ Gianluca Scamacca remained in Liguria as he prepares to face Napoli. ‘The Partenopei are a European team’.
Scamacca was linked with moves to Juventus and Parma this winter, but Ballardini was pleased to see him remain at the Marassi.
“He has always had a nice attitude,” Ballardini said at a press conference. “His teammates loves him.
“He has been appreciated as a lad and as a player.
“We are all happy that things have remained this way.”

The Rossoblu coach said his men must prepared to make as few mistakes as possible against Gennaro Gattuso’s men on Saturday.
“Genoa must play a game where they do all things well,” he said. “It won’t be easy because we play against a team that has a very high level physically, technically and tactically.
“For me, Napoli are a European team. They have a lot of quality players. They are good one on one and attacking the spaces.
“They are solid defensively, balanced and compact. When I have seen Napoli, I have always liked them.”
