Monza chief Galliani, who for over 30 years was in charge of Milan, was elected vice-president of the Lega Serie B.

Ascoli President Carlo Neri, Lecce President Saverio Sticchi Damiani, Pordenone President Mauro Lovisa, Reggiana President Carmelo Salerno and SPAL President Walter Mattioli were all elected to the board.

Andrea Messuti and Mauro Pizzigati are the independent counsellors.

“I am sure we will do good work along with all the Presidents and clubs,” added Galliani.

“This is a difficult moment for football, there is a great deal to do and we will begin tomorrow. I will try to bring some of the experience that I have accumulated over the years.”
