Tiemouè Bakayoko says he returns to a ‘stronger’ Milan, hopes Franck Kessie renews and promises to ‘do my best to contribute’.

The 27-year-old has arrived on loan from Chelsea this summer, after spending last season on loan at Napoli.

Bakayoko spent 2018-19 at Milan and returns on a two-year loan with an obligation to buy with conditions.

“I remember my last match against SPAL well, ufortunately we were unable to qualify for the Champions League,” Bakayoko said at a press conference.

“It’s nice to be back with a Milan in the Champions League. It’s a stronger Milan than the one I left, I’m really happy.”

The French midfielder said he spoke to coach Stefano Pioli and vowed to give his all ‘to contribute’.

“I spoke immediately with the coach in a very calm way,” Bakayoko added. “I will do my best to give my contribution.

“The team is doing well, I will bring my experience.”

Bakayoko said he hopes Franck Kessie remains at the Rossoneri and revealed he has a good relationship with the Ivorian.

“I feel good with him,” he said. “He has grown and improved a lot in all respects, I’m happy to reunite with him.

“Abou his future, I can say that I hope he will stay at Milan.”
