Tiemoue Bakayoko’s agent insists he is open to remaining at Napoli after his loan from Chelsea, but his future ‘is not tied’ to Gennaro Gattuso.
There are multiple reports Gattuso will part company with the club at the end of the season, regardless of whether they clinch a top four finish.
Gattuso already worked with Bakayoko at Milan on another loan from Chelsea.
“His future is not tied to that of the coach,” agent and brother Abdoulaye Bakayoko told Radio Marte.

“There is a strong bond with the coach, but when the discussions are held with the club to stay at Napoli, then we’ll see.
“The focus right now is to see out the season in the best possible way. There are no appointments planned with the club to discuss it.
“Whether he remains at Napoli or not, that will not depend on Gattuso. He is happy here, it’s a big club with a great history.
“Tiemoue hasn’t yet been able to fully experience the city or the fans because of the lockdown, but he is it anyway.”
Napoli do not seem particularly eager to purchase Bakayoko outright from Chelsea, especially following recent form.
“He is on loan and there were big expectations, so it’s natural he’s been hit harder by critics.”
