Roberto Baggio has arrived at Coverciano, where he will watch the Azzurri training session alongside four other legendary No.10: ‘Luciano Spalletti’s call was surprising.’
Baggio, Alessandro Del Piero, Gianni Rivera, Francesco Totti and Gianfranco Antognoni will watch Italy’s training session on Monday afternoon after a press conference from Luciano Spalletti.
Baggio arrived at Coverciano in the late morning and briefly spoke to Sky Sport Italia while signing autographs for almost 50 fans waiting for him outside the gates of Italy’s training centre.
“It’s always an emotion to come here,” said Baggio.
How did he react when he received the ball from Spalletti?
“I was abroad and it was surprising,” he admitted.
“There are a lot of emotions; I’ve been coming here for almost 40 years.”
