Former euro and world champion Dino Zoff says 'Spain are not what they used to be' and believes the Azzurri have a good group.

Italy were drawn in what many would call a challenging World Cup qualifier group as they were partnered with holding Euro champions and 2010 world champions Spain, but the legendary goalkeeper sees reasons for optimism.

“All things considered things went well for the Azzurri, because qualifying is within their reach,” the former goalkeeper, who was present at the ceremony, told ItaSportPress.it.

“Spain are no longer what they used to be a few years ago and Italy could well come first in a group that is within their means.

“Albania are led by a smart, experienced Coach like [Gianni] De Biasi and should be not underestimated.

“That said, they're on a lower class than Italy, as are Macedonia, Israel and Lichtenstein.”
