“I haven’t spoken to him yet, but if I am here at Inter then I owe him a lot,” the Colombian told O Jogo on Monday when asked about the recently sacked Chelsea tactician.

Inter made a January move for Fredy Guarin after they asked the advice of Andre Villas-Boas – his former boss at Porto.

“I haven’t spoken to him yet, but if I am here at Inter then I owe him a lot,” the Colombian told O Jogo on Monday when asked about the recently sacked Chelsea tactician.

“I know that Inter asked him about me and he responded with some very important words.”

The 25-year-old joined the Nerazzurri on loan at the start of this year with an option to complete his move from Porto for €13.5m.

However, the Colombian arrived in Milan with an injury and he’s only made two appearances for the club so far.

“It’s really important for me to be here at a club like this,” the midfielder continued. “Inter are a great institution and I want to win a lot – just like I did at Porto.

“We won nine trophies in three years and I want to try and repeat that feat here in Italy.”
