A few hours after the start of the World Cup in Qatar, Italy take on Austria in their second friendly of the international pause.

The match between Austria and Italy kicks off at 19.45 UK time in Vienna.

The Azzurri secured a positive 3-1 win over Albania on Wednesday, with a goal from Giovanni Di Lorenzo and a brace from Vincenzo Grifo confirming the victory for Roberto Mancini’s side. The Italian coach is in the early stages of a squad rebuild, wanting to test his players in the run-up to Euro 2024 in Germany.

Mancini’s experiments on the pitch could see him deploy a three-man defence, lining the team up in a 3-4-3 formation. Grifo is expected to start after his incredible performance against Albania and he’s set to be joined by Giacomo Raspadori and Matteo Pessina.

Marko Arnautovic will lead the Austria line and will be joined by star teammates David Alaba and Marcel Sabitzer.
