Former Roma coach Rudi Garcia is in charge of his team and he hopes the tactician will be able to exploit on his experience from Serie A.
“I trust Rudi,” Aulas told Tuttosport. “He has played against Juventus many times during his days in Rome and the experience in Serie A has made him become more Italian. His tactics makes him look like a coach from the Italian League.
“From this point of view, he’s the best I’ve had. Him and [Gerard] Houllier.”
The patron also revealed that he had tried to pick up Sarri before the former Napoli coach decided in favour of a move to the Partenopei and said it would be “incredible” to see a coach who started with “the amateurs” win the Champions League.
“I will put Sarri at the same level of Guardiola and Klopp, of the best,” he added. “In Chelsea, in a very complicated context, he did a great job.
“But I have admired Sarri since his Empoli days, before he went to Napoli. I tried to bring him to Lyon. I didn’t speak to him directly, but with an agent.
“At Juventus, he can win the Champions League and it would be incredible, since he started with the amateurs.”
