Moise Kean’s transfer to Atletico Madrid has now collapsed after the club raised concerns following the Juventus striker’s medicals.

Diego Simeone’s side agreed to sign the 23-year-old Italian on a six-month loan deal worth around €500,000, with no buy option attached. He has struggled to impress in Turin this term, making a fresh start a good option for the striker.

Kean hasn’t featured for Juventus since December 8, when he briefly came off the bench in their 1-0 win over Napoli. He’s missed the last nine games due to a shin injury but has been expected to return soon.

As revealed by Sky Sports Italia, Kean’s transfer to Atletico has hit a roadblock following his medicals in the Spanish capital on Monday evening. The club’s medical staff found his shin injury to be more serious than their colleagues in Turin described and talks are now ongoing between the two clubs.

The 23-year-old Italian striker hasn’t scored across 472 minutes of action for the Bianconeri this season, netting his last goal in a 1-0 win over Hellas Verona at the start of April last year.

Gianluca Di Marzio reported that the deal has now collapsed, leaving Kean to return to Italy. He could still leave Juventus in the final hours of the transfer window.
