Atletico Madrid President refuses to rule out move for Dybala

Atletico Madrid President Enrique Cerezo refuses to rule out a possible move for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala in the summer.

The Argentinean striker will be available as a free agent in July after Juventus refused to extend his contract beyond June 2022.

Atletico Madrid and Inter are reportedly in pole position to secure his services. The excellent rapport between the striker and Diego Simeone may help the La Liga giants secure the services of the 28-year-old.

“Dybala is a great player, but at the moment, he is a Juventus player,” Cerezo said as quoted by Marca.

“We could be interested, or not. We’ll see; there’s a long way to go before August.”

Dybala joined Juventus in a €40m deal from Palermo and has scored 113 goals in 283 appearances with the Serie A giants. Juventus withdrawn an offer they had made at the end of 2021 and refused to submit a new proposal in the last meeting with the striker’s agent on Monday.

Atletico are aware that Inter will also make an offer to sign Dybala. Beppe Marotta is the man who acquired him from Palermo seven years ago and is eager to reunite with La Joya at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
