Atletico Madrid leave Kean in limbo at Juventus

Moise Kean is increasingly in limbo after Atletico Madrid slammed the door on his loan, while Max Allegri commented he is ‘right now a Juventus player and then we’ll see.’

The striker had been widely expected to join Atletico Madrid on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy.

However, that seems to have collapsed because Atleti have failed to agree the sale of Angel Correa to Al Ittihad, so there is no need to sign Kean as his replacement.

“My instincts tell me that Angel Correa is going to stay at Atletico Madrid,” said coach Diego Simeone last night.

That does not necessarily mean Kean will remain at Juventus, as he was pushed down the pecking order by Arkadiusz Milik and above all Kenan Yildiz.

Allegri was also asked about the situation in his press conference today and left the door wide open to any outcome.

“Kean is getting back to training. Right now he is a Juventus player and then we’ll see what happens over the next few days.”

Monza had been interested in Kean, but have already signed Milan Djuric from Hellas Verona today instead.

Fiorentina are another alternative, though they are linked to numerous other forwards, including Andrea Belotti of Roma and Salernitana’s Boulaye Dia.
