Atletico Madrid will reportedly return for Napoli outcast Arkadiusz Milik this winter.

The Spanish newspaper AS reports the Colchoneros are interested in Milik and will try to convince the Partenopei in January.

The report reveals Atleti want a new striker for the second part of the season, as Diego Costa's injury and Luis Suarez' positivity for coronavirus has  and have targeted a move for the 26-year-old, who is currently in the last year of his contract with the Azzurri.

Milik seemed set for a move away during the last transfer window and was initially linked with Juventus and then Roma.

After a complicated transfer saga, he ended up staying in Naples but has been left out of Gennaro Gattuso’s squad.

The Poland international can discuss with other clubs in January and Napoli must sell this winter if they are to cash in on the former Ajax striker.

Milik has scored 48 goals in 122 competitive games for the Partenopei since his arrival at the San Paolo in August 2016.
