Atletico Madrid President Enrique Cerezo reportedly left his box after Alvaro Morata’s disallowed goal against Juventus, branding VAR a ‘disgrace’.

VAR adjudged Morata to have fouled Juve defender Giorgio Chiellini, and Movistar+ claims Cerezo watched the rest of the match in an anteroom at Wanda Metropolitano out of frustration.

“He left the room from time to time and made comments against VAR,” said Movistar+ journalist Monica Marchante.

“He watched the goals on TV. He was outraged. At the end of the match, he kept saying: ‘Let me tell you, it’s a disgrace.’”

AS writes the 70-year-old also criticised VAR before the Champions League last-16 first leg, which Atleti eventually won 2-0.

“Before VAR, there was a problem. Now there are two…” the newspaper quoted him as saying.
