Atletico Madrid have reportedly made Serie A target Sime Vrsaljko unavailable for transfer.

Vrsaljko was heavily linked with January moves to Napoli and Juventus, but Calciomercato.com claims Atleti boss Diego Simeone and sporting director Andrea Berta have been convinced into keeping the right-back.

The 25-year-old had struggled for form and fitness in the Spanish capital, but he has gone on to start Los Colchoneros’ last three League games.

Vrsaljko is no stranger to Serie A, having previously played for Genoa and Sassuolo.
