Atalanta could be without striker Rasmus Hojlund for Sunday’s Serie A showdown with Juventus, as he is still struggling after pulling out of the warm-up last night.

The two teams are due to face off at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo on Sunday at 11.30 UK time (10.30 GMT).

La Dea are currently in joint fifth place with Milan, only five points behind Juve in third.

Hojlund was meant to be in the starting XI for last night’s 3-2 win over Spezia, but pulled out with a muscular issue in the warm-up.

According to the latest reports, he has been diagnosed with an oedema to the right iliopsoas muscle, essentially a groin strain, and is a major doubt to recover in time for the big match this weekend.

The 20-year-old Denmark international has scored eight goals in 30 competitive games for Atalanta this season between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

If he does not start, he is likely to be replaced by Luis Muriel.
