Atalanta have Berat Djimsiti and Jose Luis Palomino back in the squad while Amad Diallo has travelled to Bergamo with Manchester United, who seem set to cope without Victor Lindelöf.

The match at the Gewiss Stadium kicks off at 20.00 UK time on Tuesday night.

Brazilian-born Italy international Rafael Toloi is still missing from the home side’s squad ahead of the big game against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men, but Gian Piero Gasperini revealed Jose Luis Palomino should recover in time.

In addition to Palomino, the coach has included Djimsiti in the squad after the Albanian returned from a fracture in his arm.

Manchester United brought 25 players for the game and the squad have already arrived at the hotel in Bergamo ahead of tomorrow’s match.

Amad recovered from injury and was back in action with the Under-23 squad last weekend, and the youngster has been included in the matchday squad – still hoping to get his first appearance of the campaign.

United have announced Anthony Martial is also in the squad but Victor Lindelöf reportedly picked up an injury during training today and Solskjaer might have to make at least one change from the team that won 3-0 against Tottenham.

The Norwegian decided to play in a 3-4-1-2 formation against Spurs and could decide to go with the same system in Italy.

Diogo Dalot returns to Italy for the first time since leaving Milan this summer, where he spent time on loan from the Premier League side.

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 60 goals in 88 away games in the Champions League and should start against La Dea on Tuesday.

He provides a big threat for Gasperini, who said he misses the Portuguese in Serie A ahead of the match, as Ronaldo has now scored in the last three away games in the competition with United.

The home side have Duvan Zapata, who was linked with a move to Inter this summer but stayed at the Gewiss Stadium, and the Colombian has scored three of the last four goals at home for the Orobici in the Champions League.

Davide Zappacosta should start for Gasperini’s side, and the former Chelsea defender is the Atalanta player who has been involved in the most attacks that have ended in a shot on target in this season’s competition.

Probable line-ups: Atalanta vs. Manchester United

  1. Too many important players missing for Atalanta. They had a real chance of winning both legs with their full team but I’m not sure they can do it now.

  2. Can’t afford to lose this. If they do, that will probably leave the last 2 games as MUST wins.

Regardless of what happens, it’ll probably all come down to the final game v Villarreal.

Pity they have so many players out, Gosens in particular, because MU are nothing special.
