Atalanta have unveiled their limited-edition Christmas kit for 2023, which has a tartan theme and will raise funds for a children’s hospital in Bergamo.

Every year, the Serie A club has a special jersey for the final home game going into the Christmas break.

This time around, that match is going to be Atalanta vs. Salernitana on December 18 at the Gewiss Stadium.

The theme for this shirt is decidedly Scottish, as Atalanta have their own tartan in the club’s blue and black colours.

The kits worn by the players in the match against Salernitana will then be sold at auction, with all funds going to the local children’s hospital.

There was controversy last season when the design was supposed to represent the skyline of Bergamo, but many locals pointed out it looked much more like that of Turin instead.

Before that, designs included ones in shades of green covered in Christmas trees.
