The Atalanta ultras have left a banner expressing their anger over the new Christmas shirt, which features the Turin skyline.

La Dea usually release a shirt to celebrate the festive period, but this year’s edition has caused frustration and amusement after it was discovered that the skyline featured was not of Bergamo, but Turin instead.

A banner was raised last night in Corso Europa in Zingonia, the home of Atalanta’s training centre, which read “The shirt is wrong! Out of respect it should not be worn.” The last word was underlined in red.

The Christmas shirt was produced by Joma for today’s match against Roma, with the proceeds of the sale going to charity Associazione Amici della Pediatra Onlus. The shirt manufacturer has already denied the error in recent days, but this has not convinced fans or amused onlookers.

Many online have already discovered that the exact skyline used in the Atalanta Christmas shirt is an adobe stock photo of the Turin skyline, which isn’t particularly similar to the Bergamo skyline, especially considering the prominent Mole Antonelliana.
