According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool have sounded out Teun Koopmeiners’s availability with Atalanta, but La Dea is unwilling to sell for less than €40m.

The Dutch midfielder has emerged as one of Liverpool’s targets for January.

Tuttomercatoweb reported earlier this week that Atalanta would only consider a big-money offer for the 24-year-old and according to Gazzetta, the ‘minimum price tag’ for the Netherlands international is €40m.

The Reds have reportedly sounded out the player’s availability with Atalanta and were informed about Koopmeiners’ price tag.

The Premier League giants have also been linked with Fiorentina‘s Sofyan Amrabat, who started the first two games of the year on the bench. They also loaned Arthur from Juventus last summer with an option to buy for €37.5m.

Koopmeiners joined Atalanta from AZ Alkmaar in 2021 for €14m plus €10m add-ons.

He has scored eight goals in 58 appearances with La Dea and was part of the Netherlands’ squad for the World Cup in Qatar.
