There is more transfer drama for Atalanta, with suggestions in Germany that VfB Stuttgart only want an option to buy El Bilal Touré rather than an obligation.

It has been a troubled summer for the Bergamo boys, with players like Teun Koopmeiners and Ademola Lookman targeted by Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

The one deal they were hoping to complete was the sale of Touré to VfB Stuttgart.

It had seemed to be sorted out this morning, with reports the Bundesliga outfit would take him on loan with an obligation to buy for a total €18m package.

Stuttgart stall Atalanta for Touré

However, this evening Sky Sports Deutschland claim that there are problems, as Stuttgart want to make it a loan for €2m with an option to buy for a further €15m.

The player has agreed personal terms and is eager for the transfer, but no medical can be booked until the clubs have shaken hands on the deal.

Touré was a club record signing for Atalanta last year at €30m from UD Almeria, but barely played due to injury and poor form.
