Atalanta striker El-Bilal Toure now looks completely set to move to Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart after the two clubs finally agreed upon the terms of the buy option included in the player’s loan deal.

Atalanta and Stuttgart wrap up final Toure details

According to reports on Monday, Atalanta and Stuttgart had been haggling over the buy option in the deal, despite the fact that they had already reached an agreement in principle for the player. Atalanta wanted it to be an obligation to make the move permanent, while Stuttgart had explored an optional buy clause.

According to updates from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs have now agreed to a loan deal with a mandatory buy option.

Toure is therefore expected to head to the Bundesliga at an initial cost of €4m for the season. The Germans will then pay a further €18m plus €2m in add-ons and will also include a 15% sell-on clause to make the move permanent.

Stuttgart and Toure had already reached an agreement on personal terms at the beginning of August.

Toure became Atalanta’s most expensive signing ever when he completed a €30m move from Almeira last summer, but suffered immediate injuries after his transfer and then found it difficult to overcome Gianluca Scamacca in the pecking order upon his return.
