Atalanta have agreed a deal to sign Sevilla and former Brazil Under-20 left-back Guilherme Arana.

Gianluca Di Marzio’s website reports the deal is done, with Atalanta moving for Arana after talks for Milan’s Diego Laxalt broke down.

Di Marzio adds he will join the Champions League qualifiers on a season-long loan with an €8-9m option to buy, while Tuttomercatoweb claims they have beaten SPAL to his signature.

Sevilla paid €12m to take the Brazilian from Corinthians in January 2018, but competition for places has limited him to just 10 League starts in southern Spain.

Still only 22, he has eight caps and two goals for his country at U20 level.
