Atalanta reportedly want at least €40m to sell Ademola Lookman, but are extremely irritated with Paris Saint-Germain approaching the player first, offering to more than double his salary.

The striker scored a hat-trick in the Europa League Final victory over Bayer Leverkusen last season and started the UEFA Super Cup against Real Madrid on Wednesday.

However, he is not even in the squad for tonight’s Serie A trip to Lecce, amid reports he asked to be left out in order to push for a transfer.

Saudi Pro League sides are also linked, but PSG are widely reported to be the cause of his change of heart.

Atalanta make Lookman demands

Calciomercato.com claim that they have proposed a contract worth €4.5m per season, more than doubling his current salary in Bergamo of €1.8m.

However, they have not yet contacted Atalanta to begin negotiations, an approach that infuriated La Dea, especially as they are dealing with a similar problem around Teun Koopmeiners and Juventus.

With this in mind, and it being so late in the day to find a replacement, they want at least €40m to even consider selling Lookman.

The forward was born in England, but plays his international football for Nigeria and turns 27 in October.
