Atalanta have struck a deal with Salernitana to buy midfielder Ederson for €15m plus both Matteo Lovato and the loan of Caleb Okoli.

It is a large fee for the Brazilian, who was only purchased from Corinthians in January for €6.5m.

He proved instrumental in keeping Salernitana in Serie A, scoring two goals and providing one assist in 15 appearances for the club.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the deal is now done for €15m cash plus ownership of defender Lovato, who is valued at €10m.

Salernitana will also get Okoli on loan without an option to buy at the end of the season.

Lovato spent this season on loan at Cagliari and is a 22-year-old centre-back, with 12 Under-21 caps for Italy, who was wanted by Lecce, Bologna and more.

Ederson had also attracted interest from Inter and Paris Saint-Germain, but thought Atalanta was the best place for him to continue the growth process.

The player turns 23 next month.
