Atalanta have confirmed that Italy international Nicolo Zaniolo will be the club’s new no.10, and that his teammate Raoul Bellanova will don the no.16 during his first season in Bergamo.
Atalanta confirm Zaniolo and Bellanova squad numbers
La Dea confirmed the squad numbers for two of their latest additions on Saturday, on the eve of their Serie A clash away against Torino.
Bellanova became Atalanta’s eighth permanent signing of the summer when he signed from the aforementioned Torino earlier this week.
He followed Zaniolo, Lazar Samardzic, Marco Brescianini, Mateo Retegui, Ibrahim Sulemana and Ben Godfrey through the door. The club also made Charles De Ketelaere’s loan deal from Milan permanent earlier in the summer.
Bellanova was signed this week, so has not yet featured in competitive action for Atalanta, while Zaniolo has not played since picking up an ankle injury against Liverpool while he was on loan in the Premier League with Aston Villa last season.
