The members of Atalanta’s historic 2023-24 Europa League winning squad have been gifted a set of stunning Championship Rings to commemorate the club’s first ever European trophy.

La Dea beat Bayer Leverkusen, who had gone the entire season unbeaten in all competitions until that point, by three goals to nil, thanks to a hat-trick from Nigeria international Ademola Lookman

On top of the medals that the players received immediately after full-time back in May, Atalanta have also gifted the players with a set of custom designed, personalised championship rings to celebrate their success.

Each ring, crafted from white gold, features each player’s name and squad number, as well as the Europa League trophy and the Atalanta crest.

The Championship Ring phenomenon is largely a US-influenced tradition, and is not particularly common in Italy, although Atalanta are co-owned by the New York-born Stephan Pagliuca.
