Matteo Moretto reports that Atalanta are ready to send a new offer for Celtic star Matt O’Riley.
Serie A side Atalanta are ready to make a fresh bid for Celtic attacking midfielder O’Riley, according to transfer expert Matteo Moretto.
Moretto confirms in his latest Daily Briefing column that Atalanta’s opening €15m offer was rejected by the Scottish giants, who had turned down an even bigger offer from another European club in the January transfer window.

However, talks between Atalanta and Celtic continue, and the latest Europa League winners will send a new proposal soon.
Moretto feels that Atalanta ‘want to accelerate and wrap up a deal soon’ but the Nerazzurri haven’t yet shaken hands with Celtic or the player. According to the report, in fact, O’Riley has yet to agree on personal terms with Atalanta.
Several other clubs have shown interest in the 23-year-old lately.
O’Riley, a Denmark international, scored 19 goals in 49 appearances across all competitions with Celtic in 2023-24.
Gazzetta reported on Friday that Celtic’s asking price for O’Riley is €25m.
