Atalanta are reportedly preparing to submit their bid to include an Under-23 team in Serie C after Siena’s exclusion from the division.

The FIGC decided today to exclude the Tuscan side from the third tier of Italian due to various financial issues, leaving a free spot in the division.

Juventus are the only Serie A club to have a second team in Serie C – Juventus NextGen – and now Atalanta are keen to join them, looking to further improve their youth development.

TMW details how Atalanta are preparing the candidature bid for their Under-23 team to Serie C, needing to submit this by July 18 in order to be admitted for next season.
