Atalanta have agreed a deal to take Rick Karsdorp on loan from Roma with obligation to buy if he features in 60 per cent of their games.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Fabrizio Romano and more, the Dutch right-back will make the move on loan with an option to buy for €7m.

That becomes an automatic obligation to buy if he features in 60 per cent of their games over the full 2020-21 season.

Still only 25, Karsdorp was bought from Feyenoord for €16m in 2017, but never really made an impact due to injuries and poor form.

He returned to Feyenoord on loan last season to regain some fitness, making 22 competitive appearances with two goals and five assists.

Now Karsdorp will move to Atalanta, where he’ll replace Timothy Castagne, who has agreed a €25m transfer to Leicester City.
