Atalanta are planning to keep a grip on Luca Cigarini and Manolo Gabbiadini, admits director general Pierpaolo Marino.

The Nerazzurri have an option to sign Cigarini outright this summer after spending the last two seasons on loan from Napoli.

“We will almost certainly buy him,” Marino told Mediaset Premium. “We are looking to find an agreement with Napoli.

“His agent has told us that Luca’s desire is to remain here in Bergamo with us. He is one of the pillars for our future.”

Gabbiadini, meanwhile, is an Italian Under-21 international striker co-owned with Juventus. He spent the previous campaign on loan at Bologna.

“It is my intention to renew the co-ownership deal with Juve,” Marino stated. “Then the player can decide where he wants to go.”
