Atalanta director Luca Percassi insists ‘nothing has changed’ for Teun Koopmeiners, as Juventus are nowhere near matching his valuation.

The midfielder is one of the hottest properties on the transfer market this summer after a remarkable season that culminated in La Dea winning the Europa League and reaching the Coppa Italia Final.

The 26-year-old was a key figure in that run, contributing 15 goals and seven assists in 51 competitive appearances.

He was forced to miss EURO 2024 with the Netherlands due to a muscular injury, which perhaps prevented more clubs like Liverpool from stepping up their pursuit.

Koopmeiners agreed Juventus personal terms

Juventus remain the favourites, as for months now there have been reports Koopmeiners already agreed personal terms with the Old Lady.

However, their opening €45m offer was rejected, as Atalanta are believed to be holding out for closer to €60m.

Director Percassi spoke at today’s press conference to present new signing Nicolò Zaniolo and was asked about the Koopmeiners situation.

“He is still here, just like the other days. Nothing has changed,” Percassi shrugged.

Calciomercato.com also note this evening that while the player wants Juventus, he will also not make it a battle with Atalanta if they are not prepared to accept the offer.
