Marc Pubill’s transfer to Atalanta from Almeria has collapsed as the Spaniard failed medical tests with La Dea, so the Nerazzurri are now considering offers for Flamengo’s Wesley and Nottingham Forest‘s Neco Williams.
Sky Sport Italia, La Gazzetta dello Sport and the most relevant Italian media claim that Pubill’s proposed transfer to Atalanta has collapsed as the 21-year-old right-back hasn’t passed his medical with La Dea.
Atalanta pounce on Forest defender Williams as Pubill fails medical
Atalanta haven’t disclosed the issue behind Pubill’s failed medical, but Sky Sport reporter Massimiliano Nebuloni from Bergamo insists that the problem was NOT heart-related.
Nevertheless, Atalanta must look for a new right-wing back, and according to Sky and Gazzetta, the primary targets are now Weseley of Flamengo and Neco Williams of Nottingham Forest.
Williams, a Wales international, has four goals in 39 international appearances at a senior level and has one goal and two assists in 70 Premier League games.
Another Forest footballer, the midfielder Danilo, has been linked with a move to Milan this summer.
