Atalanta are reportedly very near to signing Milan defender Gabriel Paletta, beating Bologna for the player.

The Argentine-born oriundo is believed to have been made redundant after the arrival of Alessio Romagnoli from Roma.

While initially linked to Bologna and Atalanta, it seems the latter club is taking the advantage.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, La Dea are already very close to a deal for the 29-year-old, though the details are as of yet unspecified.
