Sky Sport Italia claim that Juventus have turned their focus on Atalanta midfielder Ederson, albeit knowing a January sale is unlikely.

The Bianconeri are seeking reinforcements in the middle of the park to fill the gaps left by bans to Paul Pogba and Nicolò Fagioli.

While the main target is believed to Lazar Samardzic, they also seem to be paving the way for a summer switch rather than mid-season, aiming to stall Napoli from agreeing terms with the Udinese man.

Instead, there are suggestions that the target for January is Ederson, the 24-year-old Brazilian who has impressed with Atalanta since his €21.4m move from Salernitana in the summer of 2022.

He has provided five goals and one assist in 26 games for Atalanta this season between Serie A, the Europa League and Coppa Italia.

This is also why Atalanta have no intention of parting with the tactically versatile player, especially not in the middle of the campaign.

Ederson is, however, more likely to leave than Teun Koopmeiners and considerably less expensive too.
