Atalanta have decided to sign Charles De Ketelaere permanently from Milan, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Belgian starlet flopped in his first and only season at the Stadio Meazza, delivering just one assist in 40 appearances under Stefano Pioli in 2022-23.

He joined Atalanta on a €3m loan with an option to buy for €22m plus €4m add-ons last summer, and CDK seems reborn this season, having already collected nine goals and seven assists in 26 appearances across all competitions.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Atalanta have decided to make his move permanent at the end of the current campaign.

The 22-year-old scored a brace against Lazio on Sunday, but Atalanta would have signed him permanently regardless of his brilliant performance against Maurizio Sarri’s side, claims the pink paper.

The Belgian has collected seven goals and five assists in competitive matches across all competitions since December, more than any other player in Serie A.
