Diego Laxalt’s agent has revealed that Atalanta are leading the race to sign the Genoa wingback.
Despite confirming a €13m bid from Fiorentina, Vincenzo D’Ippolito admitted Atalanta were “closer to a deal” for Laxalt and that their interest was “much more concrete”.
“Fiorentina? Yes, I can confirm their offer of €13m,” he told RadioGoal24.
“Are we talking? Right now, we’re closer to a deal with Atalanta. Genoa are asking for €15m.

It comes on the same day that Leonardo Spinazzola did not travel with his Dea teammates for their friendly against Valencia on Friday, amidst speculation that he could return to Juventus.
