Atalanta are looking to bolster their defence this summer and have identified Tottenham’s Japhet Tanganga as a target, La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests.

La Dea are currently in the process of agreeing a deal with Sead Kolasinac, whose contract with Olympique Marseille expires today, and they are still paying attention to their backline.

Talented defender Giorgio Scalvini has attracted the attention of a number of top clubs around Italy and could be sold this summer, prompting Atalanta to start considering other options for the defence.

La Gazzetta dello Sport via TMW reports that Tanganga has been identified by Atalanta as an interesting option to strengthen their backline this summer.

The 24-year-old Englishman struggled for regular playing time this season, seeing just 146 minutes of Premier League action, and only has two years left on his contract in North London.

In the past, Milan were interested in making a move for Tanganga and now Atalanta are thinking about bringing him to Italy.
