Charles De Ketelaere and Giorgio Scalvini are edging towards rediscovering their fitness in time for Atalanta’s Serie A showdown with Napoli.

It is one of the big games that awaits after the break for international duty and a direct head-to-head for a top four spot in the table.

La Dea resumed training today following a three-day break and there were important updates on the fitness levels of several players.

Scalvini was forced to pull out of the Italy squad with a recurring back issue and he had partial training with the group today, but also individual work.

The same is true of De Ketelaere, Sead Kolasinac and Emil Holm.

However, Rafael Toloi, Matteo Ruggeri and Jose Luis Palomino were only able to do their own individual work with the fitness coaches, so are unlikely to recover in time for the match against Napoli.

Atalanta will certainly be without suspended Marten de Roon and injured El Bilal Toure.
