Atalanta sporting director Giovanni Sartori expects Dejan Kulusevski to star for Juventus but reveals his club paid just €100,000 for the teenager.

Kulusevski is a product of the famed Atalanta youth academy and helped them win the Primavera title last season.

Only yesterday he completed a €44m move to Juve, having caught the eye during a loan spell at Parma, where he has contributed to 11 goals in just 17 Serie A games.

Kulusevski is a product of the famed Atalanta youth academy and helped them win the Primavera title last season.

Only yesterday he completed a €44m move to Juve, having caught the eye during a loan spell at Parma, where he has contributed to 11 goals in just 17 Serie A games. 

“We paid less than €200,000 for him. If it has to be said, let’s say we paid half,” Sartori told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I believe we all did the deal, them, us and Dejan himself. He played 17 games in Serie A and his development has been impressive.

“I followed them all, his performances, since the Coppa Italia tie against Venezia. He turns 20 in April and can still grow a lot more.

“He can become a top player, he already has international potential. From June, when he plays for Juventus, he’ll be even more mature.”
